Education

Greenway school, Samraong, Cambodia

The Greenway school in Samraong is an after-school education project, where children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds come to learn English. The first Greenway school was set up in 2013. Currently, about 180 children are enrolled in the school. What is so unique and amazing about the Greenway School, is that the children come of their own accord and truly enjoy their time here.

Slum outreach project, Goa, India

The slum outreach project in Goa is an after-school education project that was set up in 2015. This project is mainly conducted for children in the age group of 3-16 years belonging to migrant families living in slums located on the periphery of the city. The main aim is to help them understand the importance of education and developing skills, and to teach them basic English. We also aim to provide one meal per day to 30 children.

Kindergarten and primary school,  Kathmandu, Nepal

The kindergarten in Kathmandu was established in 2018 as a free alternative for economically disadvantaged children in our area. More recently, we also opened a primary school for these children, following the curriculum of the Nepalese government. In total, the kindergarten and primary school currently host about 50 students in three classes: Early Child Development 1, Early Child Development 2, and Primary 1.


Kindergarten, Pejeng, Bali, Indonesia

The kindergarten in Pejeng was opened in 2023 and was entirely built by volunteers. The kindergarten opens to underprivileged children in an area of Bali where there are no other public kindergartens. We currently have about 65 children, divided in three classes.

Greenway school, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Based on the success of the Greenway schools in Samroang, we opened another Greenway school in Siem Reap in November 2024. Like in Samroang, we offer free educational/learning opportunities for those who couldn’t otherwise afford it In this after-school project. 

Environment

Turtle conservation project, Nusa Penida, Indonesia

The turtle conservation project on Nusa Penida, just off the coast of Bali, was established in 2013. In the project, we work closely together with the local community and local conservation experts. We report to the relevant Indonesian government agencies. 


In the project, we take care of injured turtles brought in by local fishermen, but also have a hatchery and several tanks where a part of the baby turtles are trained before being released. In 2023, we released 615 baby turtles and 187 medium sized turtles. 

Turtle conservation project, Lombok, Indonesia

The turtle conservation project on Lombok was established in 2024. Like in the project on Nusa Penida, we take care of injured turtles brought in by local fishermen, and have a hatchery and several tanks where a part of the baby turtles are trained before being released. Also in Lombok, we work closely together with the relevant local parties and  government agencies. 

Turtle conservation project, Zanzibar, Tanzania

Sea turtles around the world are facing real extinction even though they have been ecologically living on our planet for millions of years. Based in Makunduchi, Zanzibar, the sea turtle conservation project was set up in 2024 to work towards the preservation of endangered sea turtle species in the area. To this end, we are working together with the local community in the treatment and rehabilitation of injured sea turtles, providing them with the necessary care and support to recover and return to their natural habitats. In addition, we conduct environmental education and awareness campaigns around Zanzibar.

Wellbeing

Sports coaching, Tarrafal, Cape Verde

The sports coaching project in Tarrafal has been running since 2023. Together with a local football coach, about 25 children from the local community train five times a week from 6am to 8am and from 3pm to 5pm. Over the weekend, they also participate in competitions against local football teams from other villages.

Sports academy, Luang Prabang, Laos

The sports academy in Luang Prabang was set up in November 2024. In this project, we aim to provide sports education to young Laotians in a Luang Prabang. Divided into three age groups (13-14, 15-16, and 17-18 years old), children can sign up for football training. Training takes place between 6:30 - 8:00 am and 5:00 - 6:30 pm on the grounds of a local public school. They are trained by a local football coach and 2 assistant coaches.
